IONIA. Uncertain. Circa 625-600 BC. One twenty-fourth stater (Silver, 6.5 mm, 0.34 g). Raised quadripartite swastika pattern, with crescents in each side. Rev. Incuse swastika pattern. Apparently unpublished denomination. Cf. Hirsch 253, 2007, 2167 and Pecunem 34, 2015, 280. Extremely rare, only paralleled by the electrum issues with the same types, as SNG von Aulock 1778 and 7777. Rather rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.

This is very likely an example of an ancient forgery (!!), and was perhaps originally plated with electrum to serve as a 1/24th stater!
