ATTICA. Athens. Circa 454-404 BC.. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 4.15 g, 12 h), late 440s - early 430s. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with olive leaves and an upwardly turned palmette. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right with head facing; to left, olive spray; all within incuse square. Kroll 10. Svoronos pl. 11, 19. A very attractive early drachm, of good style and well-centered. Slightly porous, otherwise, good very fine.
