SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 223-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.71 g, 12 h), Uncertain mint in western Mesopotamia or Asia Minor, circa 200 BC. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on bow at his side. SC 1141.2. WSM 1687 (same obverse die). Very rare. Toned, and with a realistic portrait of Antiochos III. Very fine.
