Hetoum on horseback riding right, head facing, holding lis-tipped scepter and reins; to left, cross; to right, crescent above, star below. Rev. Legend citing titles and name of Kaykhusraw II in three lines; mint formula and partial AH date around. AC 326. Broome, Seljuqs, 1105. Traces of overstriking on both sides, otherwise, extremely fine.

Fals (Copper, 20.5 mm, 3.15 g, 6 h), 'Standing Caliph' type, Hims (Emesa), type II, AH 74-80 / 693/4-699/700 AD . Bearded Caliph standing facing, placing his right hand on the hilt of his sword; around, 'J li' abd Allah' abd al-Malik amir al-Mu'minin' (for the servant of God, Abd al-Malik, Commander of the Faithful). Rev. Cross transformed to Φ standing on base and three steps; in field to right, "bi-hims" ('in Hims' in Kufic); in field to left, star; around, 'lā ilāha illā allāh wahdahu muhammad rasūl allāh' (There is no God but God alone; Muhammad is the Prophet of God).
