LUCANIA, Velia. Circa 300-280 BC. Nomos (Silver, 21mm, 7.49 g 3), under Philistion. Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with a dolphin on the bowl and Φ on the neck guard; to left, monogram. Rev. ΥΕΛΗΤΩΝ Lion walking to right; above, trident to right, between Φ - Ι. HN III 1312. SNG ANS 1387. Williams 507 d (this coin) . Nicely toned and well-centered. Some minor marks and die rust, otherwise, good very fine.
