PHRYGIA. Laodicea ad Lycum. Pseudo-autonomous, circa 1st century AD. (Bronze, 16.5 mm, 2.10 g). ΛAOΔIKEΩN Draped bust of Mên on crescent to right, wearing Phrygian cap. Rev. Star of eight rays with pellets between them. Apparently unpublished. Cf. RPC 2907 for a similar obverse. Auctiones (DE) e50 (2016), 124. The best known example of this extremely rare type. Good very fine.
