Warrior, wearing a lorica and a crested helmet, holding a lance in his right hand and a large round shield in his left, on horse galloping to right; to left, Δ; below, [AΠOΛ/ΛΩNIOΣ]. Rev. TAPAΣ Phalanthos riding dolphin to left, holding trident over right shoulder and being crowned with wreath by Nike flying towards him; below, waves. HN III 1038. Vlasto 897 (same dies). Same dies as Obolos 4 (2016) 55. Nicely toned; rare variety with Δ in lieu of ΔI. Good very fine.

Nicely toned; relatively scarce with the rudder on the reverse and, thus, in great demand among rudder collectors. Very fine.

EYΦ/ API-ΣTΩN Naked horseman to left, wearing crested helmet and holding the reins with his left hand and an ornamented shield with his keft. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ /ZΩΠ Phalanthos, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding hippocamp in his right hand and trident in his left. HN III 1044. SNG ANS 1238 (same obverse die). Vlasto 928 (same dies). Lightly toned; a rare variety. Very minor die break on the obverse, and slightly off-center, otherwise, good very fine.
