THESSALY. Pharsalos. Mid-late 5th century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 2.97 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet and drop earring. Rev. Φ-ΑR Horse’s head to right; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly I 1277. BCD II 630 (same dies). HGC 4, 630. Lavva 8 (V6/R5). Exceptionally well-struck and clear. Usual die break on the reverse, and a small test cut on the reverse edge, otherwise, extremely fine.
