BRUTTIUM. The Brettii. Circa 211-208 BC. Double Unit (Didrachm?) (Bronze, 25.5 mm, 16.22 g, 10 h). Helmeted head of Ares to left, griffin on helmet; below neck, thunderbolt. Rev. BPETTION Hera Hoplosima advancing right, holding shield with both hands and spear leaning against her; to right, bunch of grapes. HN Italy 1987. Scheu 38. SNG ANS 94ff. Of fine style and with an attractive, light green patina. Very fine.
