LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 300-280 BC. Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.35 g, 7 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing laureate Attic helmet. Rev. ΥΕΛΗΤΩΝ Lion walking to right; below, N; in the exergue, filleted thyrsos to right. HN III 1300. SNG ANS 1352. Williams 393 (O196/R277). Well centered and toned. Some roughness and deposits, otherwise, very fine.
