GALATIA. Pessinus. Faustina Junior, Augusta, 147-175. (Bronze, 19 mm, 4.74 g, 7 h). ΦΑΥСΤEΙΝΑ ΝEΑ СEΒΑСΤΗ Draped bust of Faustina II to right. Rev. ΠEССΙΝOΥΝΤΙΩΝ Harpocrates standing facing, head turned to left, wearing the hemhem crown, holding cornucopia and raising a finger of his right hand to his mouth. Devreker -. RPC IV 10051 (same dies). This type is only known from a single coin once in the Prowe collection and sold in 1914. Some smoothing in the fields, otherwise, good very fine.

Harpocrates was an aspect of the Egyptian god Horus and was, among other things, the god of silence; thus, the finger held to his mouth.
