APULIA. Teate. Circa 225-200 BC. Teruncius (Bronze, 22 mm, 11.50 g, 4 h). Diademed head of Poseidon to right; three pellets (mark of value) to right. Rev. TIATI Poseidon (?) riding dolphin to left, holding an amphora in his right hand and a trident with his left; to right, crescent above the dolphin's tail; below, three pellets. BMC 16. HN III 705. SNG ANS 1231. SNG Munich 537. Scarce in such good condition; clear, attractive and with a lovely green patina. Edge fault on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
