Medal (Silver, 63x51mm, 16.06 g 12), on Frederick, Count Palatine, and his wife Princess Elizabeth of England, as well as their son, Prince Frederick, by Simon de Passe (with his reversed monogram on the obverse), 1616. Elaborate facing busts of Frederick, Princess Elizabeth and the child Prince Frederick; below, slightly to right of the center, reversed monogram of SP. Rev. EFFIG:ILLUST:PR:FREDERICI D.G.CO:PAL:ET ELIZABETHÆ PO.PR.IAC:MAG:BRITT:REG.FILIA VNA CUM SER°.PR.FREDERICO EORŪ FIL:PRIMOGENITO (=Portraits of the most illustrious Prince Frederick, by the grace of God, Count Palatine, and Elizabeth, daughter of the most potent Prince, James, King of Great Britain, together with their eldest son, the serene Prince Frederick) Armorial shields of the Count and Princess supported by two lions and with a crested helmet above; below, the Count’s motto: SVPERATA TELLVS SYDERA Donat (=the subdued earth bestows the heavens).
