CAMPANIA. Neapolis. Circa 320-300 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 7.42 g, 10 h), Diophanes. ΔIOΦANO[YΣ] Diademed head of nymph to right, wearing triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; behind neck, bunch of grapes. Rev. NEOΠOΛITHΣ Man-headed bull walking right; above, Nike flying right, placing wreath on bull's head. HN III 571. Sambon 436. SNG ANS 316-7 (this obverse die). SNG München 233. A toned example; rare with the magistrate's name on the flan. Some deposits, die rust and scrapes on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
