D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG Helmeted, diademed and cuirassed bust of Theodosius facing, holding spear over his right shoulder and with shield, ornamented with a horseman spearing a fallen foe, over his left. Rev. SALVS REI PVBLICAE /CONOB Two emperors seated facing on thrones, the larger on the left Theodosius II and the smaller on the right Valentinian III, both wearing consular robes and holding a mappa in their right hands and a cross in their left. Depeyrot 79/1. RIC 234. Well struck and clear; perfectly centered on a broad flan. Good very fine.
