Constantius II, 337-361. Centenionalis (Bronze, 22 mm, 5.52 g, 1 h), Siscia, 4th officina, 350. D N CONSTANTINVS P F AVG / A Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine to right, behind neck, A; in field to right, star. Rev. HOC SIGNO VICTOR ERIS / A / •ΔSIS• Constantine, in military attire, standing facing, head to left, holding a labarum with a Christogram with his right hand and a spear in his left; to right, Victory standing left, crowning the emperor. RIC 286. Lovely and clear with a green-brown patina. Minor die break on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.



The reverse inscription "HOC SIGNO VICTOR ERIS" refers to the Christogram on the labarum and means "you will be victorious with this standard", the Greek "Εν τούτω νίκα" .
