ΑΥΤ Κ Λ CΕΠ CΕYΗΡΟΝ ΠΕΡ CEB Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right, countermarked at 4h with Hygieia standing right, feeding serpent held in hands, within oval incuse. Rev. ΕΙΡΗΝΟΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ ΕΤΟΥC ΔMP Head of Asclepius to right with serpent-entwined staff to his right; ΔMP (date) below. Karbach 68.1. SNG France 2264. SNG Levante 1611 (same dies). For countermark, Howgego 270. Well centered and clear; fine green patina strengthened by the earthen deposits. Very fine.
