KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames I, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 16 mm, 6.17 g, 11 h), first series. Diademed head of Arsames I to right, wearing bashlyk with beaded edges. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΣΑΜΟΥ Arsames on horseback to right, preparing to cast spear at leaping lion to right. ACV 2. CAA 2. Kovacs 2 (same dies). Fine dark patina. Struck on a tight flan, otherwise, good very fine.
