IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 28 mm, 12.65 g, 12 h), year 46 (MC) = 89-88. Basket (cista mystica) from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, MC (date) above EΦE; to right, lighted torch; between snakes heads, headdress of Isis. Kleiner, dated 47. Rare year. Obverse struck from a worn die and slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
