NETHERLANDS, The Dutch Republic. Breda. Medal (Silver, 44mm, 30.21 g 12), on the Peace of Breda and the alliance between Great Britain and the Dutch Republic, by C. Adolfszoon, 1667. A Dutch and an English warship sailing amicably to right; each with an olive wreath at the top of its mainmast. Rev. Shields of Great Britain and the Dutch Republic hanging from an olive wreath; below the shields, crossed and tied branches of laurel and palm, and a ribbon inscribed BRITAN:BATAV:PAX; below ribbon, 1667 C.A. Eimer 242. MI, I, 184. PiN 267. Van Loon II, pp. 538-540, viii. A lovely, toned example. Good extremely fine.
