Rev. -5- / GΑΖZΕΤE / ✱1081✱ in three lines, with the date engraved retrograde; the whole within round chain border. Karamitsos I.4a. Lambros 6 (same dies and possibly this coin depicted!). KM 3. Graded by NGC "AU 58 BN". Top pop in pop report both companies. Cert number: 2909008-006.

Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus, 1195-1203. Aspron Trachy (Electrum, 31 mm, 4.22 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1195-1197. KE RO-HΘEΙ / IC - XC Christ, nimbate, seated facing on backless throne, wearing pallium and colobium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding Book of Gospels in his left. Rev. AΛEZIωC ΔεCΠ KωNTANT (or similar) Alexius III, on left, wearing crown, divitision and loros, and St. Constantine, on right, in similar attire, both standing facing, each holding a cruciform scepter and together supporting a labarum between them. DOC 2b. SB 2009. Lustrous. About extremely fine.
