CENTRAL EUROPE, Vindelici. 2nd-1st century BC. Quarter stater or ’Glattes Regenbogenschüsselchen’ (Electrum, 10.5 mm, 1.34 g). Plain bulge. Rev. Blank concave surface. Kastelin 1088ff. Kellner type V A 2194. Some marks and rough obverse, otherwise, about very fine.

From the Erich Karl collextion, UBS 77, 9 September 2008, 220, ex Lanz 120, 18 May 2004, 2.

According to a metal analysis by Sincona, this coin includes 54% Gold, 44% Silver and 2% bronze, so it is electrum and definitely not plated as Lanz suspected in 2004.
