BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I, circa 170-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 35mm, 16.95 g 12), circa later 160s. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right, wearing Macedonian helmet adorned with bull’s horn and ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOΥ / EΥKΡATIΔOΥ The Dioskouri galloping to right, each holding spear and palm branch; below right, monogram. Bopearachchi Series 6E, 29. Mitchiner 177ee. SNG ANS 465. Beautifully toned and struck on an unusually large flan. Very minor doubling, otherwise, good extremely fine.
