SOPHENE. Artagigarta, 57/6 - 53/2 BC. Oktachalkon (Bronze, 27 mm, 14.22 g, 12 h), Armenia under Roman Control, dated year 8 (H) of the Pompeian era = 57/6. Turreted bust of Tyche of Artagigarta to right . Rev. Wreath with ties inwards, including Artagigarta's monogram above; date (H) to left and ΠO (of Pompey) monogram to right. Kovacs 209. Unpublished prior to Kovacs in 2016. Some uncleaned deposits as found, otherwise, fine.
