KINGS of MACEDON. Perseus, 179-168 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29mm, 16.83 g 12), Pella or Amphipolis, c. 173-171. Diademed head of Perseus to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΕΡΣΕΩΣ Eagle with spread wings standing right on thunderbolt; above, monogram of ΑΥ; to right, monogram of ΗΡ; between legs, monogram of ΑΝ; all within oak wreath and a plow below. Mamroth, Perseus 15 (this coin cited). An attractive, toned example, boldly struck. Nearly extremely fine.
