KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27mm, 16.96 g 12), Odessus, c. 280-200. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion’s skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in field to left, Δ within Ο above monogram of ΞΩ. Price 1145. An attractive toned example of good style. Extremely fine.
