The Triumvirs. Octavian, 29-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.57 g, 9 h), Italian mint, possibly Rome. Bare head of Octavian to right. Rev. The Curia Iulia ('the Senate house'), shown as a pedimental building with a low colonaded porch, pedimental sculpture and, on the architrave, IMP CAESAR. BMC 631. BN 52. Cohen 421. RIC 266. Attractively toned. A few unimportant marks on obverse and slightly porous, otherwise, good very fine.
