Honorius, 393-423. Solidus (Gold, 19mm, 3.84 g 1), Milan, 395-402. D N HONORI - VS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Honorius to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGGG / M - D / COMOB Honorius standing right, his foot set on a captive, holding a labarum and Victory on globe. Depeyrot 16/2. RIC IX, 35c. RIC X, 1206. A very attractive coin, but curiously light. Extremely fine.

This coin is very light weight (it should be c. 4.50), but it is of perfect style and is very well made: thus, it cannot be an irregular issue. It is, rather, an example of a light-flan passing through the inspection process, being struck and then put into circulation without anyone noticing.
