LUCANIA, Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 14mm, 2.03 g 11). Head of Athena to right wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. Μ Ε Three barley grains with two letters and a fly between them. HN III 1699. Johnston Bronze 63. SNG ANS 583. A really attractive piece with a dark green patina. Extremely fine.
