THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 400-380 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 5.76 g, 8 h). Head of the nymph Larissa three-quarters facing and wearing ampyx, turned slightly to right. Rev. ΛAPI Horse grazing to right. BCD II 380.17 (same dies). A rare variety. Slightly rough obverse surfaces and with a doublestruck reverse, otherwise, about very fine.

From the collection of W. F. Stoecklin, Amriswil, Switzerland, acquired from Bank Leu in Zurich, prior to 1975.
