KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.82 g, 9 h), Sestos, c. 297/6-282/1. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated on throne to left, leaning her left elbow on her shield and holding Nike, crowning the king’s name, in her right; behind, transverse spear without point; inner left, dolphin; below throne, monogram of ΠM. Müller -. Thompson 24. Flan crack and, on the reverse, faint graffito, otherwise, very fine.

Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated to left; on inner left, spear head. Müller 60. Thompson 173. Clear and toned. Reverse struck slightly off centre, otherwise, very fine.

THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION. Siris, or Berge (?). Circa 525-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 8.87 g). Ithyphallic satyr standing right, right hand grasping right wrist of nymph fleeing to right, his left hand supporting her chin; around, three pellets. Rev. Rough incuse square divided diagonally. AMNG III, 14, Smith Group 5 and Traité I, 1568 (all as ,Lete’). Minor flatness, otherwise. Nearly extremely fine.
