Rev. Laurel wreath tied below, containing ΛΕΠΤΑ / 20 in two lines. Divo 57b. Karamitsos 143. KM 57. Graded by NGC "AU details / environmental damage". Cert number: 2909004-012.

Histamenon (Gold, 24 mm, 4.39 g, 6 h), Constantinople. + ΙhS XIS REX REGNANTIhM Christ Pantocrator seated facing on throne, holding Gospels in his left hand and raising his right in blessing. Rev. Θ CE ΒΟΗΘ ΡωΜΑΝω / ΜΘ On the left, Romanus standing facing, wearing crown and loros (with four pellets in the end), holding globus cruciger with his left hand; on the right, the Virgin, nimbate and wearing robes, crowning the emperor with her right hand and holding maphorion in her left. DOC 1d. SB 1819. Spottiness on the obverse, the reverse somewhat softly struck, otherwise, good very fine.
