KINGS OF PARTHIA. Artabanos III, 126-122 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 3.93 g, 12 h), uncertain eastern mint - Traxiane or Areia? Diademed, bearded and draped bust of Artabanos to left. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΑPΣΑΚΟΥ ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟΥ (garbled) Parthian archer (Arsakes I) seated right on omphalos, holding bow in his left hand. Sellwood 20.1 var. (Artabanos I). Shore 65 (Artabanos I) Struck from the same obverse die as Peus 384, 2005, 375. A very rare and unusual Parthian provincial issue. Somewhat crudely struck, otherwise, extremely fine.

KINGS OF PARTHIA. Mithradates II, 121-91 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 15.99 g, 12 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris mint, 119-109 BC. Diademed bust of Mithradates to left, wearing torc and elaborate robes. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ Arsakes I seated to right on omphalos, holding bow; to right, palm branch; [below, ΤΥ]. Sellwood 24.4. Shore 67. Sunrise 284. Same dies as Triton XVII, 7 January 2014, 438. An attractive toned coin. Extremely fine.

KINGS OF ELYMAIS. Kamnaskires V, circa 54/3-33/2 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 13.61 g, 12 h), Seleucia-on-the-Hedyphon. Diademed, bearded, and draped bust of Kamnaskires V to left, wearing circular earring and torc; behind, star above anchor. Rev. BΑCΙΛЄΩC ΚΑΠΝΑCΚΙΡΟΥ ΟY ΒΑCCΙΛЄY KΑΠΝΑCΚ (partially blundered) Diademed, bearded, and draped bust of Kamnaskires IV to left. Alram 464. Sunrise 479. van 't Haaff 1-7. An imposing and exotically 'foreign' portrait. Minor marks, scratches and deposits, otherwise, extremely fine.

Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right, wearing Macedonian helmet adorned with bull´s horn and ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ The Dioscouri, each holding palm branch and lance, galloping on horseback to right; below, monogram. Bopearachchi Series 7, I, 54. Mitchiner 178c. SNG Copenhagen 274 (this reverse die). A beautifully toned and most attractive example. Extremely fine.

ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ The Dioscouri, each holding palm branch and lance, galloping on horseback to right; below, monogram. Bopearachchi, 8b. Mitchiner 179a. SNG ANS 485.
