JUDAEA. Caesaraea Maritima. Pseudo-Autonomous issue, time of Hadrian, 117-138. (Bronze, 16 mm, 4.78 g, 7 h). Bull prancing right, above, crescent. Rev. C I F AVG Lion walking left. RPC III 3957A. Extremely Rare. The second and arguably the finest known. Nicely struck and with good details. Very fine.



This type has tentatively been assigned to Caesarea Maritima under Hadrian. The legend appears to read C I F AVG. Iconography is similar to RPC III 3957 and 3962.
