PILLET; ΕSSAI, in tiny letters, in the upper right field. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ / ΤΗΣ /ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ / 1912 in four lines; to right, the crown of the Kingdom of Greece; the privy marks cornucopia (for the Mint Director) and torch (for the Engraver General, Henri-Auguste Patey, 1896-1930) flanking the date. Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.09 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 121-123. IMP CAESAR TRAIA-N HADRIANVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. PM TR P CO-S III Ship to right. RIC II.3 531 (R2). Strack 106. Very rare, and same dies as the Bibliothèque nationale de France specimen depicted by RIC. Some minor scratches, otherwise, nearly very fine.
