THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 515-493 BC. Hekte or Sixth Stater (Silver, 12 mm, 2.75 g). Rider to right, holding two spears and treigns with his right hand. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. van Alfen, Chersonese, 20 var. (O1/R-, unlisted reverse die). Unusual fine condition for this rare and early type! Very fine.
