Youthful head of George I to right; below truncation, in tiny letters, BAPPE. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Laurel wreath containing surrounding 5 / ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ / 1876 in three lines; privy marks bee (for the Mint Director, Renouard de Bussière, 1860-1879) on the left and an anchor (for the Engraver General, A. D. Barre, 1855-1878) on the right. Divo 46. Karamitsos 161. KM 47. This coin is extremely uncommon in such high quality! Graded by NGC "MS 65". Cert number: 2908902-002.

IONIA. Uncertain mint. Circa 550-500 BC. 1/24 Stater (Electrum, 6.5 mm, 0.64 g), struck in the Milesian standard. Forepart of goat (or a hybrid beast) right. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Weidauer -. Traité -. SNG Kayhan -. Same dies as Roma e26 (2016), 203. Apparently the second example known, and unpublished save for the auction appearance of the parallel mentioned above. Good very fine.
