Phoenix with spread wings arising from the flames; above, rays of the rising sun and cross; the whole within a circle of pearls; around, ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ✶ ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ αωκα' = 1821 in Greek alphabetic numerals. Rev. ΚΥΒΕΡΝΗΤΗΣ Ι.Α. ΚΑΠΟΔΙΣΤΡΙΑΣ 1830᛫ around a wreath of olive and laurel enclosing the denomination, 1 / ΛΕΠΤON in two lines. Chase 210 (G/f). Divo 7a. Karamitsos 4.8. KM 5. "Small phoenix" variety. Extremely Rare according to Chase, who estimated that less than 10 pieces of this variety exist. Graded by NGC "XF 45 BN". Cert number: 2908890-005.

PAPHLAGONIA. Kromna. Circa 340 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 18.5 mm, 3.43 g, 11 h), Persic standard. Laureate head of Zeus to left, his hair partially rolled at the back of his head but with some locks falling down below the neck truncation on both sides of his head. Rev. ΚΡΩΜΝΑ Head of the City-goddess or, perhaps, Hera to left, wearing turreted stephane adorned with palmette and scrolls, triple-pendant earring, necklace and drapery along the neck line; before neck N; above head, swastika to right. SNGBM Black sea 1328 (this obverse die). SNG Paris 394. SNG von Aulock 183-7 var. (different controls). Slightly rough obverse surfaces, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
