GREECE. Constantine I, first reign, 1913-1917. Pattern 1 Drachmi 1915 (Gold, 23 mm, 8.22 g, 6 h), Paris, struck from an obverse die by Κ. Demetriadis and reverse master die by Albert-Désiré Barre, plain edge marked with a cornucopia and 1OR (=.916 fine gold) 6h. ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ / 1915 Laureate mature head of Constantine I to left; below truncation, in small letters, K. Δ.; in the lower right field, ESSAI in small letters. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Crowned and mantled shield bearing the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Greece; below, ΔΡAXMH; in the lower right field, ESSAI in small letters. Divo - (but this coin mentioned in the note to P100) = Karamitsos T.87 (this coin mentioned, but not illustrated) = KM E34 = Tzamalis, Νομίσματα Ελληνικού Χώρου, Δ56 (this coin). Unique and of the greatest historical importance! A remarkably beautiful and elegant coin; it is likely that the gold coins of 1915 were minted for the famous collection of Count Philippe Ferrary, which had a plethora of extraordinary gold coins. Graded by NGC "PF 65". Unique in the Pop Report in NGC and PCGS. Cert number: 2908889-012.

MESSENIA. Mothone. Geta, as Caesar, 198-209. Assarion (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.25 g, 2 h). ΛOY CEΠ ΓETAC [--] Draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to right. Rev. MOΘΩNAI[ΩN] Dionysos(?) standing left, holding jug and thyrsus; to right, herm. Apparently unpublished type, save for an auction appearance, Roma 63E, 2019, 529 (same dies). Extremely rare and interesting type. About very fine.
