Rev. 1 ΛΕΠΤON 1846 Denomination and date in three lines within a laurel wreath tied above and below. Divo 30c. Karamitsos 33. KM 22. Graded by NGC "AU 55 BN". Cert number: 2908901-002.

MYSIA. Lampsakos. Circa 500-450 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.55 g, 6 h). Janiform female head, wearing a double stephane and a circular earring. Rev. Helmeted head of Athena to left within a shallow incuse square; behind, amphora. Baldwin, Electrum= de Luÿnes 2479 = SNG Paris 1125 (different dies). Of attractive late Archaic style and extremely rare with this symbol (cf. Nomos 24, 2022, 176). Good very fine.
