ΟΘΩΝ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Youthful head of Otho to right; below truncation in tiny letters, K. ΦΟÏΓΤ. Rev. 5 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ /(anchor) 1833 A /✶ Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center; all within an olive wreath with ties below. Divo -. Karamitsos T.22. PHOENICIA. Tyre. Circa 425-394 BC. Shekel (Silver, 25.5 mm, 14.01 g, 2 h). Melqarth, riding on a hippocamp to right, holding bow and arrows with his left hand and the reins with his right; below, dolphin swimming to right under waves; around, corded border. Rev. Owl standing to right, before crook and flail. Cf. E&E-T Group II.1.1.1.a, 302 (but dies apparently unpublished: obverse close to O30-O36 and reverse to R31 ff.). Struck slightly off centered, otherwise, very fine.
