Rev. 1/2 ΔΡΑΧΜΗ / 1847 Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center; all within an olive wreath with ties below. Divo 14f. Karamitsos 99. KM 19. THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 515-493 BC. Hekte or Sixth Stater (Silver, 12 mm, 2.75 g). Rider to right, holding two spears and treigns with his right hand. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. van Alfen, Chersonese, 20 var. (O1/R-, unlisted reverse die). Unusual fine condition for this rare and early type! Very fine.
